Former doctor and hospital psychiatrist Jeremy Sassoon changed career to become one of the UK's most in demand singer pianists. He headlined at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club during the London 2012 Olympics and is a regular headliner at PizzaExpress Jazz Club Soho, 606 Jazz Club and Berlin's A-Trane Jazz Club. He recently graced the main stage at Love Supreme Jazz Festival 2019 with his “Ray Charles Project”, alongside Jamie Cullum & Ms Lauryn Hill.  In 2014, his recording of the Marc Cohn song “The Things We've Handed Down” was featured on BBC R4's Desert Island Discs and hit number 1 on the iTunes vocal download chart.

Jeremy launched his new “MOJO” show at JW3 in September 2019 to a sell out audience charting the history of Jewish songwriters through the ages, with his inimitable style as an entertaining and witty raconteur. He narrates and performs the show from the piano and uses his trio (bass and drums) to play the compositions of the featured artists. The journey starts with George Gershwin and Irving Berlin and passes through Carole King, Bob Dylan, Billy Joel, Paul Simon all the way up to Amy Winehouse. However, there are many surprises along the way!

The launch gig was a 250 seat sell out, received a standing ovation, and had the audience, of all ages, unexpectedly dancing in the aisles: even on the stage! MOJO performed a spectacular full month's run at the Edinburgh Fringe 2022 and on the back of sensational reviews there, he's now performing to packed audiences around the UK.
