Jess Thristan
In 2018, Jess took a step back to focus on her new musical direction writing the music she loves with a strong country music influence from the likes of Maren Morris and Jillian Jacqueline whilst retaining her own roots and style and testing the new tunes around the London, Manchester and Leeds area.
The year of 2019 saw Jess make her festival debut at award-winning Buckle & Boots, opening for Nashville's Kelsey Waldon, Jade Helliwell and Jess and the Bandits, as well as release her single The Old Me, heavily supported by radio DJ Baylen Leonard, Chris Country, Paul Sexton, Brad Paisley, BBC Introducing, Matt Spracklen and Spotify editorial playlists. Jess also gained support from none other than Country Music legend Shania Twain who added her cover of Keith Urban's Blue Ain't Your Color to her Kick-Ass Women of Country playlist.
Jess is fresh from playing The British Country Music Festival and Country 2 Country Festival 2022 and set to play The Long Road and Buckle & Boots Festivals later this year. She released her powerful country-rock bangers Woman Up and No Mercy last year and has lots of new music on the way for 2022!
THE GOUDIES
The Goudies (GOW-dees) are husband and wife folk-country duo — Sam & Beth Goudie. Their close harmonies and honest sound have drawn comparison with Americana artists such as The Civil Wars and Gillian Welch & David Rawlings. As singers and songwriters they explore the relationship of love, faith, and the spaces in between — always ending in hope.
Their debut EP, When This is Over, was released in July 2021. Recorded with just a single microphone in a room, the songs are an honest reflection on a time when everything was stripped away and we found out the things that matter.
The Goudies have been featured on BBC Introducing and Absolute Music Country as well as winning the Amazing Radio weekly audition and being selected as Richer Unsigned Artist of the Week.
At the start of 2021, whilst the UK was locked down, they started a weekly live stream (Tiny Show Tuesday) for their friends from their home, playing new songs and country covers — and finally decided to bring their solo projects together to form The Goudies.
