“Jessica is a deeply inventive and profoundly creative composer and performer whose unique and breathtakingly brilliant Remembrance Project will move you to the core - prepare to be transported as it more than evokes the realism of the trenches - it takes you there! A highly believable performance.”

Jessica Radcliffe is a rising star vocalist and composer. Her Remembrance Project is a fresh and compelling musical response to the human experience of the Great War. Relevant to modern comprehension and fundamentally raw in presentation, the ensemble delivers a gripping and atmospheric performance of contemporary arrangements and compositions based on music, poetry, reports, letters and other historical documents of and about the devastating conflict. Her debut album, Remembrance, will be released on Ubuntu Music later this year.

The album is a musical documentary of an extensive four-year research and composition project, including a pilgrimage to the battlefields of Ypres and the Somme.

Jessica founded the ensemble and began writing during her final year at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and performed the first few compositions in her final recital, earning her a First. Encouraged to complete the work, Jessica spent the following months writing and workshopping more music with the group. The full 90-minute program received its debut performance at The Spice of Life in the 2016 EFG London Jazz Festival on Remembrance Sunday.

Eager to get into the studio but lacking funding, Jessica applied to be a contestant ITV's The Chase, and was eventually offered a chance to "beat the Chaser". She and her team successfully took on Mark 'The Beast' Labbett in an episode aired on February 8th 2016. Using the winnings, the group recorded Remembrance over two days at Curtis Schwartz studios in Ardingly, Sussex in June 2016.
