Event Has Passed

Last Show: Friday 1 st March 2019

While gigging on the scene for around 18 months, London's only palindromic hard-bop sextet Jessop Jessop Jessop, are fast making a name for themselves as one of the most swinging up-and-coming bands in town. They met at music college, with the entire line-up consisting of students or ex-students at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama or The Royal Academy of Music, and since then have been playing regularly at clubs in London and other venues and festivals across the country.

"I went to see young boppers Jessop Jessop Jessop earlier in the year after being tipped off about them by a colleague. Believe me, I will never...ever...ever...forget what I saw that night..."

Monty Panesar

Their repertoire is derived from the great groups of the 50s/60s Blue Note-era recordings including Art Blakey and The Jazz Messengers, the ensembles of Hank Mobley, Lee Morgan, Joe Henderson, Horace Silver, Cannonball Adderley and Curtis Fuller to name a few. Jessop Jessop Jessop's dedication to swinging hard and each player's personal identity produces music steeped in tradition yet fresh for the modern audience. Having sold out the PizzaExpress Soho three times in a row, book early to avoid the harrowing experience of missing Jessop Jessop Jessop and the fabulous music they present.
