For this special Steinway 2-Piano Festival lunchtime show, we present four of the finest UK jazz pianists in a spectacular double bill.

British jazz legend, JOHN HORLER, is best known for his many years as the piano player for Sir John Dankworth and Dame Cleo Laine. He has also worked with American jazz stars like Chet Baker, Shorty Rogers, Clark Terry, and Zoot Sims, in the bands of Ronnie Ross, Pete King and Tony Coe, as well as leading his own trio with Jeff Clyne and Trevor Tomkins. He will be joined in a 2-piano duo by ROBIN ASPLAND, a favourite accompanist of signers from Claire Martin to Jane Horrocks. Aspland has also worked with Van Morrison, Georgie Fame, and the Pasadena Roof Orchestra.

SAM LEAK is a London-based Jazz pianist described by JazzFM's Helen Mayhew as "One of the brightest stars in the Jazz piano galaxy, a heavenly improviser, and a brilliant prospect for the future". His band Aquarium have received widespread acclaim, with Jamie Cullum describing himself a fan. Leak's duo partner will be composer/bandleader IVO NEAME, best known for his work with award-winning band Phronesis and with Norwegian saxophonist, Marius Neset.

"Multi-faceted and smart as a pin, this is poetic chamber Jazz of a very high order"
