In December 2017 Ellis signed to Roven Records, New York where he joined an illustrious list of Recording Artists including Wynton Marsalis, Audra McDonald and Patti LuPone. In January 2019 he will perform at one of Condé Naste Traveller’s Ten Best Hotels in the World THE SILO, Capetown, where he will host 'Roof Top Jazz', overlooking Table Mountain.
