PizzaExpress Live (Holborn)

PizzaExpress Live is very proud to launch a new series of stand-up comedy shows in our Holborn venue. Performers are drawn from the very best UK club comedians - many of whom are award-winners. Each night will feature three great performers. Whether you've come to see someone in particular or are just curious to see a comedy show, every one of the comedians we are presenting is hugely experienced and has sold out shows in their own right.

Josh Widdicombe

Since his first gig in January 2008 Josh has had a remarkable impact on the comedy circuit. In just three years he has been named FHM Stand Up Hero 2010 (ITV4), Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2010 and after just a handful of gigs made it to the final of the prestigious So You Think You’re Funny final at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2008.

Now regarded as one of the best up-and-coming acts on the UK circuit Josh is in constant demand at clubs and theatres across Britain. Josh is fast establishing himself on the live circuit supporting huge comic talent such as Kevin Bridges, Michael McIntyre, Alan Carr and Shappi Khorsandi. 2011 will see Josh take his first hour show, Other People, to the Edinburgh Festival.

Other than stand-up Josh has been busy taking part in BBC Radio 4’s Loose Ends,Arthur Smith’s Balham Bash, BBC Radio 5 Live’s Fighting Talk, Absolute Radio’s Rock n’ Roll Football and ITV4’s Mark Watson Kick’s Off.

He has also written for Michael McIntyre, Mock The Week8 Out of 10 Cats and BBC Radio 4’s Look Away Now.

Nathan Caton

Nathan Caton is one of the most exciting young comedians on the scene. Gigging since the tender age of 19, over the last decade he has established himself both as a circuit headliner, and a name on TV and radio.

Within his first few years on stage, he had picked up various accolades and coveted plaudits including the Chortle Student Comic of the Year award and Broadcast Hotshot and written and starred in a pilot for Paramount Comedy (now Comedy Central) entitled The Nathan Caton Show.

Since then Caton has gone from strength to strength, wowing audiences at comedy clubs up and down the UK, and on his numerous TV and radio appearances, with his delightfully charming blend of personal and political comedy.

Jake Lambert

Jake started stand-up after gaining a following on Twitter under the pseudonym @LittleLostLad. He then decided to put down his iPhone and pick up a microphone. It has proven to be a great choice with him making it to the semi-finals of the BBC New comedy Award within 6 months of his first gig, allowing him to perform on both BBC Radio 4 and BBC Radio 2.

His joke writing has lead him to write for such shows as 8 Out of 10 Cats, BBC'S Mock The Week, and E4's Virtually Famous.

Jake has gone on to receive a plethera of nominations including The Magners New Comedian of the Year 2015, and the prestigious Leicester Mercury New Act of the Year 2015. He also made it to the final of the English Comedian of the Year and the Amused Moose Laugh Off Final, 2016.

In 2017 Jake supported Seann Walsh on his One For The Road tour. He also supported Rob Beckett on his Mouth of The South tour. He was also asked to support Romesh Ranganathan on his tour 'Irrational'.
