EveryAudio presents the Julian Costello Quartet. International touring artist Julian Costello is making his return to the PizzaExpress Jazz Club. Julian has recorded two albums on the acclaimed label 33jazz including most recently, "Connections: Without Borders." recorded in Norway. Julian brings an impressive group to our Saturday lunchtime sessions with some excellent musicians from the London scene playing music from Connections which is about connections we have to places through music and how music transcends borders.

Julian Costello is a saxophonist and composer from London. He tries to approach life with humour and this comes through in his performances with his quartet. He has released two great albums on 33Jazz Records "Once in a while, an album like this appears on the horizon”.  Adrian Pallant London Jazz News. He lives in SW London where he enjoys cheese, wine and composing music for his quartet.

John Turville is one of the leading UK pianists of his generation. After a classical education at Cambridge and the Guildhall, he has gone on to an international performing career including recording three albums as a leader; the most recent due for release on Whirlwind Records in 2019, featuring the world-renowned Julian Arguelles on tenor and soprano sax. John has won multiple awards for his two trio albums including MOJO’s #3 Jazz Album of the Year (2012), and ‘Best Album’ in the Parliamentary Awards 2011. John was also a joint winner of the 2009 PRS Promoter’s Choice Award and was awarded ‘Best Instrumentalist' in the 2010 London Jazz Awards as well as reaching the semi-finals in the Martial Solal Jazz Piano Concours in Paris the same year.

Tom Hooper is a versatile percussionist who has worked with Grace Jones. Simple Minds, Dutch pop star Jan Smit. Aynsley Lister, Jackie Graham, Sir John Dankworth, Brian McFadden, Omar, Skye Edwards. An excellent drummer very much in demand on the Jazz scene in London.
