Kara Tenae is a singer, songwriter, lyricist, model and actress. She grew up in Riverside, and was featured in the finals for the #MyAllChallenge presented by They Have The Range & Sony Music in collaboration with Mariah Carey as part of her 25 year celebration of the album Butterfly. With the recent release of Kara’s debut EP 'Faith Over Fear', she plans to bring back a lost feeling and energy that people haven’t felt in a while. Look out world, Kara Tenae is about to make her mark!

Growing up, Kara discovered that she had a natural fascination and love for music and melodies. As a young child, Kara started playing nursery rhymes by ear on a toy xylophone which caught her father’s attention. Shortly after her father’s observation, her parents placed her in piano lessons. As Kara grew older, she started expanding herself musically and cultivated her craft by the influence of Michael Jackson, Beyoncé (Destiny’s Child), SWV, Aaliyah, Whitney Houston, Missy Elliot and Stevie Wonder. Kara soon joined the school choirs, church choirs, and a trio girl group that eventually landed a recording contract. After the group dissolved, Kara was driving for UBER and would always sing for her passengers. Each time she’d sing for them, they left several comments on the app expressing how good of a singer Kara was, which landed her a huge commercial that aired with Singer/Songwriter Julia Michaels for The 60th Grammy award ceremony.

Kara’s main objective is to leave all of her listeners with a lasting impression of QUALITY music that makes them feel good, hopeful, excited, understood and BALANCED. Aside from enjoying the feeling of singing, Kara wants to use all of her lessons in life to help inspire and give others hope through the transparency of her songwriting. She believes that anything you put your mind to, you can achieve, you just have to believe and put in the required work.
