The Stage

Katie is known for her warm and versatile vocals and heartfelt, genuine storytelling. As well as singing selections from her album, such as Can’t Help Lovin’ Dat Man from Showboat and Goodbye Until Tomorrow from The Last Five Years, she will also be debuting some new arrangements of songs from current West End favourites Waitress and Company and many more.

Katie has had a wide-ranging career and sings professionally in many different capacities from jazz and swing in London's top jazz clubs to classical arias with full orchestras in some of the UK's most prestigious concert halls. Last spring She toured as a soloist  in “Crazy For Gershwin” with The London Concert Orchestra and big band. She has also enjoyed a fruitful musical theatre career and last summer Katie starred in the Knights of The Rose at The Arts Theatre, other musical theatre credits include, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Sweet Charity, The Last Five Years, By Jeeves.

Ever since the jazz genre developed, songs from the shows have always featured heavily, and many have become jazz standards. So In Love showcases some of those that have a firm place in the American Songbook and mixes them with more contemporary musical theatre love songs that lend themselves wonderfully to jazz but until now have not yet been explored.
