Comparing Notes brings stars of the West End and Broadway to PizzaExpress Live Holborn. In a lively and informal mix of performance and conversation host Edward Seckerson will be getting up close and personal with these musical theatre luminaries, exploring the stories behind the songs and the personalities behind the artistry.

Kim Criswell recently starred as Margaret White in 'Carrie' at Southwark Playhouse, for which she received rave reviews and appeared at the Royal Exchange in 'Cat on a Hot Tin Roof', playing Big Mama. Kim is a seasoned Broadway performer, appearing in the original casts of 'Nine', 'Baby', 'The First', 'Stardust' and 'The Threepenny Orchestra' revival. In Los Angeles, she starred as Grizabella in 'Cats' and in the West End in 'Annie Get Your Gun', 'Elegies for Angels', 'Punks and Raging Queens', 'Dames at Sea' and 'The Slow Drag'. She won a Helen Hayes Award for 'Side by Side' by Sondheim and an Olivier Award nomination for Annie Oakley.

Kim has made twenty-five Recordings, including solo albums ‘The Lorelei’ and ‘The Human Cry’, as well as ‘Anything Goes’, ‘Annie Get Your Gun' and ‘Kiss Me Kate’ for EMI. She has also recorded ‘On The Town’, ‘Guys And Dolls’, ‘The Pyjama Game’, ‘Annie’, ‘The Slow Drag’ and most recently a solo album ‘Back To Before’ for TER records.

She has sung in concerts, recitals and cabaret all over the world, including her debut at the BBC Proms in Bernstein's ‘Wonderful Town’ conducted by Sir Simon Rattle which was recorded by EMI, a BBC Proms Sondheim Tribute with The John Wilson Orchestra with whom she regularly appears, Gershwin's ‘Of Thee I Sing’ for Opera North, ‘Candide’ with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Gershwin's’ Lady Be Good’ at La Fenice, Venice and Sao Carlos Opera in Lisbon, ‘On The Town’ with the BBC Concert Orchestra conducted by Paul Daniel at the Royal Festival Hall, ‘Radio Rhapsody’ with the City of London Sinfonia conducted by Marin Alsop at the Barbican, ‘Pal Joey’ and ‘On Your Toes’ for the Rodgers Centennial, and the title-role in ‘Gypsy’ and ‘Candide’ all with the BBC Concert Orchestra, ‘Call Me Madam’ for the BBC and ‘Guys And Dolls’ and ‘Wonderful Town’ at the Konzerthaus Vienna conducted by Wayne Marshall.

She has formed a cabaret duo with Wayne Marshall, appearing at the South Bank, Wigmore Hall, Aldeburgh, Bridgewater Hall Manchester and the Edinburgh Festival. She has performed with many or the world’s major orchestras, including the London Philharmonic, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Vienna Symphony, Flemish Radio Orchestra, Suisse Romande Orchestra and London Symphony Orchestra; and in concert halls and opera houses across Europe, including Concertgebouw Amsterdam, La Fenice Venice, Palermo Opera, San Carlo Naples, Sao Carlos Lisbon and La Scala, Milan.
