Largely unblemished, still with only the vaguest of nods to good taste and propriety - cabaret veterans Kit & McConnel are simply thrilled to be returning to the Pheasantry. Regular panellist on Radio 4’s Just A Minute, screenwriter, Country Life columnist, and opera director Kit Hesketh-Harvey is once again joined by Emmy Award-winning composer, occasional TV presenter, author and pianist James McConnel.

Described by their regular tour partner, the late, great Joan Rivers as: “The best act... in their price range”, they have per- formed for eight prime-ministers, most members of the Royal Family, as well as - accidentally - Egyptian arms dealers in Sardinia, who under- stood not a word but who seemed appreciative, nonetheless.
