Jessica Vautor and Marcel Camargo 'Leza Mi'

Leza Mi is the combination of Jessica Vautor and Marcel Camargo, who have been playing as a duo for fifteen years and have developed a musical language all of their own. Marcel is known for his extensive work with Michael Bublé, also with Gretchen Parlato - as guitarist and Musical Director. He worked as a producer on Parlato’s Grammy nominated release, “Flor,” a Brazilian inspired record that harkens back to Marcel’s own upbringing in São Paulo, Brazil. He’s worked with many other artists as well, appearing on records with Sergio Mendes, Herb Alpert, Tom Harrell and in feature films and television programs. Born and raised in Martinique, Jessica is one of the best kept secrets in Los Angeles, She is known for her work with legendary masters Stanley Clarke and Randy Brecker and regularly collaborates with acclaimed pianists Gerald Clayton and Vardan Ovsepian. At the Pizza Express Jazz Club they will be performing music from their forthcoming album, which was done in collaboration with the great Domenico Lancellotti. It is a mix of original music, Argentine Tangos, Bach pieces, Brazilian Sambas and Jazz Standards, all in newly reinvented arrangements.
