Last Show: Sunday 6 th August 2017

PizzaExpress Jazz Club (Soho)

Australian jazz diva Lily Dior establishes herself as a powerful songwriter with the release of her third album ‘Let’s Talk About It’, a stunning collection of soul songs with jazz edges and a deep groove sensibility. Steeped in the classic soul and rhythm & blues of artists such as Donny Hathaway, Aretha Franklin, and Al Green, with touches of funk from influences such as Sly and The Family Stone, ‘Let’s Talk About It’ is a culmination of many musical experiences including her formative years as a member of Hungarian bass legend Jackie Orszaczky’s soul/funk outfit ‘The Godmothers’ which took Sydney by storm for five years.

“This is an impressive production – a tight core band, augmented variously with horns, strings and backing singers. Throughout, the spotlight is on Dior’s singing, sassy, soulful, passionate and strong.”
