PizzaExpress Jazz Club (Soho)

The best description of Little Big Horn is that it’s a mighty mini big band. Leader Dave Hammer was looking to blend the impact of a big band but on the scale and stylistic versatility of a Vegas house band. In addition to latin jazz repertoire to feature our guest Roberto Pla, this performance will also include a special selection of Blue Note classics (Lee Morgan, Horace Silver, Herbie Hancock and more!).

Guest artist Roberto Pla

It’s always a real gas to turn up the heat in our music and our souls so we are pleased and honoured to welcome back Senor Pla.  For over three decades, award-winning Colombian percussionist Roberto Pla has been at the forefront of the UK’s vibrant latin jazz and salsa scene. As maestro of one of Europe’s most sought after festival headliners, Roberto inspires excitement and energy whenever he takes the stage. As ever, expect some serious south-of-the-border syncopations!
