The Pheasantry (Chelsea)

American vibraphonist and vocalist Dave Hammer was looking to blend the punchy impact of a big band with the compact versatility of a Vegas nightclub’s house band. The result is Little BigHorn. This Pheasantry date promises to be a tour de force with classics by Ellington, Basie and Goodman (Cotton Tail, Shorty George, Life Goes to a Party). Plus, satisfaction is guaranteed with exceptionally smooth and soulful songstress Louise Jones.

"It has been a privilege to share the stage with Louise on a number of occasions. She has never failed to connect with the audience. The colour of her voice makes any material sound fresh!!"

He was looking to blend the punchy impact of a big band with the versatility of a Vegas nightclub’s house band. He kicked the idea around, gathered together some of London’s most versatile and talented musicians and vocalists and the result is Little BigHorn. Featuring quality arrangements by the best in the business, the LBH sound is tight, fresh and exciting. Our oeuvre is a veritable feast of New York swing, West Coast cool and Brazilian bossa.
