Drawing from the American songbook, samba and bossa nova, Francesca uses these influences to create her own compositions, resulting in a throwback to trad-jazz, blues and dixieland with an alternative, modern edge. The Francesca Mondi Band is an ensemble featuring accomplished musicians from all over the globe, from Italy to Azerbaijan, each member contributes their own influence for a set that is always varied, uplifting and unexpected!

"Mondi’s deep and soulful voice moves the songs on from their traditional form, and unusual arrangements with a fantastic backing band captivating the crowd... A highlight is the title track Devil’s Door with its swing rhythm, fantastic horn section and brilliant backing singers supplementing Mondi’s smooth vocals... Break My Heart would not sound out of place during Mardi Gras in New Orleans." - Ralph Blackburn, Hackney Gazette
