"One of the most exciting young bands in the UK.”

DJ Paul Jones (BBC Radio 2)

24Pesos
The band has a unique and energetic take on the Blues that has put them at the forefront of the new Blues scene in the UK and have been toted as "The UK's most exciting and original Blues band" by Maverick Magazine. 24Pesos play original music, with deep understanding of the Blues history, virtuoso instrumentation a joyous groove, real songs and enough energy to bring the house down every night! The band burst on to the blues scene in 2008 with their raw and rootsy live shows and debut album The Boogie Worm. In 2010 they released their second album Busted Broken and Blue to great critical acclaim earning the band four nominations at the British blues awards including best band and best album. Drawing from influences diverse as Sly Stone, Sean Costello, Albert Collins, Cream, The Meters, James Brown, Freddie King, Howlin Wolf, Captain Beefheart, Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones and the Roots, the band’s upbeat, downhome sound brings an infectious energy to their electrifying live shows that has earned them an outstanding reputation as a live act at festivals and venues throughout Europe and the UK.

'Do the Right Thing' is the bands fourth release on Ourgate records/Cadiz music. The album like ..."Busted Broken and Blue" and "When the ship goes down" is very much a crossover Blues album. The band recorded eighteen tracks over two days in London’s Perry Vale studios. All tracks were recorded live to capture the real band sound, spontaneity, excitement and vibe. The tracks were then developed in the band’s own studio. “We really worked on the arrangements for this record. Looking for a gnarly groove and grind, real songs and a sound that is unique, original unmistakably 24Pesos.” Eighteen tracks were pared down to eleven. “Having tracks to spare meant that we were able to produce and album that we are really proud of from start to finish.” Groovin, powerful, raw and rockin’. 'Do the Right Thing' is the band's most complete release to date.

'Do the Right Thing' won the blues and soul awards for most innovative blues album of 2016.

Marcus Malone
Hailing from Detroit Michigan Marcus initially was coveted by Motown records - working on demos with some of the biggest names in the business -before being moved to LA by Ike Turner’s management team and signing with United Artists Records. The result was the all star hard-rock 'Marcus' album, which is still on the catalogue today and  re released by Rock Candy Records in December 2016.

Growing up in  Detroit meant he was always open to musical diversity. He  hung out with the MC5, opened for Bob Seger and Iggy Pop, but it was his passion for rocking blues that led him to Europe.

He quickly made an impact by opening for BB King at the Albert Hall and he hit the Euro festival circuit in support of a brace of British label rock/blues solo albums. Ironically for an exiled American musician, it led to one of his songs appearing on the celebrated 'Blueprint - Best of British Blues' album.
His 2005 'Blue Radio' album led to comparisons with Paul Rogers, while the following 'Hurricane' opened up the German and French markets for him. Better still,  his fifth album, the soulful  'Let The Sun Shine In' was his first to receive full European distribution in recognition of his increasing profile.
