"Astonishing…so well recorded and crafted” - Adam Walton, BBC Radio Wales
Mared is an award-winning Welsh singer-songwriter and actor who splits her time between the West End in London and gigging across the country. After her sold-out EP Launch at Piano Smithfield, Mared is extremely excited to be returning to London to showcase her summer EP with a full band. Expect punchy guitar riffs, gripping melodies alongside some very soulful and soothing vocals! Her soul-pop EP ’Something Worth Losing’ bursts with energy and nostalgia and results from lockdown collaboration with co-writer and producer Nate Williams. Influenced by the likes of Emily King, Lianne La Havas and Sara Bareilles, this collaboration evoked growth in Mared’s musical identity since her Welsh album of the year debut, ‘Y Drefn’ came out in 2020. ‘Something Worth Losing’ explores different angles of a healing process in an unapologetic, intricate and carefully crafted EP. With continuous support from BBC Radio Wales, Radio London, Radio Cymru, 6music and features on BBC Radio 1, Mared is also currently featuring in the West End cast of Les Miserables as cover Eponine until September 25.
With Special Guests to be announced.
