'The Art Of Romantic Song'

PizzaExpress Jazz Club (Soho)

Inspired by the legendary recordings of Sinatra with the Hollywood String Quartet. 'The Art Of Romantic Song' is a celebration of vintage popular song framed in the most intimate and elegantly swinging settings. Matt Skelton leads a hand picked ensemble of stellar instrumentalists chosen for their sound and empathy for this extraordinary music. The ensemble features the critically acclaimed Tippett Quartet,  trombonist - arranger Callum Au, Saxophonist Jon Shenoy and harpist Hugh Webb.

£25.00

"Having been lucky enough to know Sinatra, Nelson Riddle and Eleanor Slatkin (the original cellist of the Hollywood String Quartet), I am certain they would have been as thrilled as I with these loving and fresh restorations of their work. Bravo!"
