Michelle John was born to sing. While still a teenager her reputation as an outstanding vocalist flourished; she joined the cast of West End musicals 'Mama I want to Sing' and 'Smokey Joe’s Café' in principal roles.
In 1997 Michelle collaborated with producers M&S and hits such as 'This is it' and 'Take Control' were released by The Ministry of Sound recording Label and landed in the Top 20 on the U.K Charts.
Never one to sit on her laurels Michelle’s vocal dexterity has allowed her to work with artists covering the whole music spectrum, from the late Whitney Houston to the Legendary Tenor Andrea Bocelli.
Her vocal coaching skill is also in high demand, she has helped to craft the voices of artists such as Razorlight, Girl’s Aloud, Atomic Kitten, Liberty X, Mis-Teeq, Bryan McFadden, Westlife and for a while Rita Ora.
After many years of singing on the albums of so many artists she decided to ‘do her’ and released a 5 track EP of songs written by her entitled " Little Me “.
Her singing life continued with the opportunity to perform with Herbie Hancock and Sheryl Crow and recorded with the phenomenal Lenny Kravitz. A highlight in Michelle’s career was the invitation to perform for President Barak Obama at The White House.
2016 Michelle continued to work with Artists such as Eric Clapton, Will Young, Paolo Nutini, Ed Sheeran and The 1975’s, she also worked with Carole King on the British Summer Time Hyde Park Concert, which was attended by over 50,000 people.
Michelle then joined Joss Stone on her world tour promoting her album " Water for your Soul " which features Michelle on backing vocals.
2017 Michelle enters The Voice UK and takes the country by storm, every week the public voted her in. She finished as the 4th place Finalist. The Voice UK chapter ended and a new one began!
Her latest offering The Diva Songbook is an electrifying collection of songs from ‘Divas’ that we know and love including Whitney Houston, Chaka Khan, Ella Fitzgerald & Diana Ross .
