This voice-piano duo reflects a musical and human encounter that took place in Belfast in January 2016 at No Alibis Bookshop. Scott and Fabrice have performed in many venues in Northern Ireland and France sharing their love for jazz bearing the influences of early 20th- century classical composers such as Ravel and Debussy. This duo reflects the sensitiveness and spontaneity they like to express through their music which combines contemporary original material with innovative takes on jazz standards and traditional songs.

This duo album is a milestone in a musical and human encounter that took place in Belfast in January 2015 at No Alibis Bookshop. We met through Linley Hamilton (trumpet) who with the complicity of David Torrans (owner of the bookshop) had put together a jazz night. Since then we have shared other musical moments in Northern Ireland realising our mutual love for jazz, early 20th century classical composers such as Ravel and Debussy and for our respective capital cities, Belfast and Paris. This duo album reflects the sensitiveness and spontaneity we like to express through our music. It combines contemporary original material with innovative takes on jazz standards and traditional songs.

Scott Flanigan is one of the foremost keyboard players on the Irish jazz scene.
