Myrna Hague

Premier musical luminary Myrna Hague is rightly hailed as "Jamaica's First Lady of Jazz". Since embarking on her career as a singer, she has captivated  audiences, spreading her magic across prestigious venues and concert stages in Europe, America and Canada. Londoners may be familiar with Myrna through her work as a featured artist with Britain’s favourite dance band, Jazz Jamaica. Tonight’s performance gives audiences a chance to discover Myrna's signature sound, a sophisticated set encompassing jazz standards, ballads, Latin jazz and popular song. In 2011 she presented Simply Myrna intending it to be a one-off performance, but it proved so popular, she decided to make Simply Myrna an annual concert series, and each year it becomes even more eagerly awaited by loyal audiences at home and abroad. For her much-anticipated London show, she’ll  be performing with her UK band, with Gary Crosby (double bass), Alex Ho (piano), Aleksandra Topczewska (saxophone) and Romarna Campbell (drums).
