Naala
Naala is the project of singer and sound artist Yvette Riby-Williams, which sets out to challenge perceptions of sound engagement and listening. She aims, through cross-genre collaboration, to investigate alternative ways to understand and appreciate music, while celebrating the meeting of many cultures. A hybrid of electronic sounds, elemental R’n’B and a silky vocal from Yvette, prepare to have your senses blurred and your perceptions challenged.
Bellatrix
With a background in jazz double bass, Bellatrix now embarks upon a solo journey of songs with an electronic edge. She is becoming a regular on the London scene with a loyal following of fans, and has received funding from Arts Council England. Her EP ‘Real Stuffed Owls’, achieved by support from fans on Pledge Music, is an eclectic mix of sounds and lyrics with a message. Her influences range from Kate Bush to Nina Simone, from Bjork to MIA.
