Narin Gylman trained as a classical pianist, singer, violinist and organist. She is an Associate of The Royal College of Music and Licentiate of Trinity College London. She has performed at world renowned London venues including the South Bank Centre, Wigmore Hall and the Barbican, and at the Sydmonton Festival for Andrew Lloyd-Webber.

She has also performed as accompanist/musical director to various international stars, and has coached top artists including Leona Lewis, Melanie C, Boy George and Caron Wheeler of Soul II Soul.

Her gala performances include the Theatre Royal Drury Lane Royal Command Performance and the Adelphi Theatre. Narin has also appeared at the Jermyn Street Theatre, Pizza on the Park, and played for special events at the Dorchester and Ritz hotels. International concerts include opening The Lille Festival, the Teatro Carignano in Turin and World Trade Centre in Dubai.

Growing up in a musical family, Narin began piano lessons age six. Her great-great grandmother was a gifted pianist, who was taught by the composer Felix Mendelssohn. During her teenage years, Narin studied music with some of the finest musicians and teachers in the UK, before turning professional. She has since made regular appearances on television (BBC1, Sky, Channel 4) and radio (BBC Radio 3, LBC and Talk Radio Europe).

As well as a composer, she is an arranger and musical director, and member of the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors. Her work with film includes her role as musical supervisor for the film The City by Alex Edwards, which screened at the Cannes Film Festival in 2009, as well as at BAFTA in 2008. She worked closely with directors Bill Bryden and Bruce Beresford, and actors John Hurt and Liz Hurley, on the film Aria, a winner of the Palm D’Or at the Cannes Film Festival. She also coached Richard Harris and Julie Walters for the film adaptation of The Threepenny Opera. 

Narin’s compositions have been used in theatre, including Skylight by David Hare at the Lawrence Batley Theatre, West Yorkshire. She has worked with soloists at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, English National Opera, Glyndebourne and the Quinville Concert Trust. She has also accompanied opera singers including Robert Tear, Boneventura Bottone, Raimund Herincx, and coached West End stars including Sarah Brightman, Michael Ball and Amanda Holden.
