Creatively ambitious from the start, Nick Heyward began his career as the songwriter and frontman of Haircut 100. Marrying Chic with The Monkees, they rode the post-new-romantic-funk-wave of the early 1980’s burning brightly, but briefly. Following four top 10 singles and their debut album, Pelican West, going platinum, the band parted ways. His solo career began in March 1983 with the single "Whistle Down the Wind", which reached No. 13 on the UK Singles Chart. Two further top 20 hits followed: "Take That Situation" and "Blue Hat for a Blue Day". His debut solo album, North of a Miracle, was released in October 1983 and peaked at No. 10 in the UK.

In 1979 Steve Norman was a founding member of Spandau Ballet and in 1980 their debut single “To cut a long Story Short” made number 5 in the charts. Steve enjoyed ten UK top-10 singles with Spandau Ballet which included “Musclebound”, “Chant No 1”, “Instinction”, “Lifeline”, “True”, “Gold”, “Only When You Leave”, “I’ll Fly For You “, and “Through The Barricades”. in 1985 Steve performed with Spandau Ballet at Wembley Stadium as part of Live Aid. Steve has also performed with Iggy Pop, Kim Wilde, Steve Harley, The Alarm plus many more. More recently Steve has been touring the UK, Europe and Canada with his band “The Sleevz” including a run of dates performing Spandau Ballet’s debut album “Journeys to Glory” in full.
