Led by the powerful voice of established recording artist and female lead vocalist Nolita Golding, SoulfulLatin Live is her new formation, one of the innovative up and coming projects on the London scene today. This exciting band was formed during the lockdown period, as Nolita decided that she would make her mark by establishing an ensemble that will play a mix of original compositions and also renditions of favourite cover songs in her signature Latin soul style with personalised arrangements.
After releasing two singles, and while continuing to work towards new releases, by popular demand, Nolita has organised an ensemble comprising of a line-up which brings a mix ranging from cool relaxed soulful music with a touch of Latin to an upbeat party feel leading with a strong urban edge of R&B, while still honouring her salsa/soul roots.
With their energetic musical experience of performing in a variety of settings, the integrant musicians include those from Pop, Soul and Latin jazz music backgrounds. The SoulfulLatin sound is therefore a fusion of these, characterised by the solid groove of the rhythm section which includes piano, bass, a horn section and Latin percussion.
With Nolita’s charismatic soulful vocal style and bilingual ability to sway between lyrics in Spanish-English and the fusion of styles and rhythms, her show will move an audience through a journey of emotions which will reflect her English, Spanish and Mexican cultural heritage and at the same time an expression of some of her personal life stories.
SoulfulLatin Live is a project born from Nolita’s love for music since childhood, a concept stemming from the desire of self-expression which she will share through performances with fellow musicians that have become family to her over the years. She is currently working on new compositions arranged by international Latin Grammy producer and arranger Oscar Hernandez and also the multi-talented Julio Montoro who composes for Tumi music, which she is eager and thrilled to deliver. Always striving for excellence, Nolita is an artist with consistent growth and the best is yet to come!
