Fresh from two sold out shows in the EFG London Jazz Festival, this all-star quartet features singer Norma Winstone, who first worked with Dave Green in the 1960s in groups with Joe Harriott, Amancio D'Silva and Michael Garrick. Completing the quartet are award-winning pianist and composer, Nikki Iles, and saxophonist Stan Sulzmann, whose own career has ranged from recordings with Kenny Wheeler and Michael Gibbs to Tom Jones and Belle & Sebastian. This will be an intimate show by four British jazz legends, who love working together.

Norma Winstone pioneered the approach to wordless vocals in jazz, as well creating countless word-settings with Kenny Wheeler, Ralph Towner and John Taylor. 

Stan Sulzmann’s highly personal, haunting but forward-looking style has won him many admirers and colleagues, including Gil Evans, Michael Brecker and Mike Gibbs.

Nikki Iles’ 25 years experience playing, composing and teaching have made her one of the finest modern jazz pianists in Europe and voted Best Pianist in the 2018 British Jazz Awards Her fluent and creative playing has been heard with the finest UK musicians, including Kenny Wheeler and Tina May. 

Dave Green’s surefooted approach made him the bassist of choice for visiting artists such as Sonny Rollins, Coleman Hawkins and Ben Webster in the 60s. He remains in high demand today.
