The award-winning singer and musical theatre star Patti Boulaye returns to the The Pheasantry following her sell out shows with her wonderful, moving one-woman show ,‘Billie and Me,’ in which she discusses the parallels of her life and career with that of the great singer Billie Holiday. The late Billie Holiday’s life, songs and cause of her death, made a strong impact on modern day performers like Patti and it was many of Holiday’s songs and performances that increased Patti's love of jazz music. In 'Billie & Me', Patti performs some of her favourite and well -known songs of Holiday’s such as That Ole Devil Called Love, Nice Work If You Can Get It, Lover Man, God Bless the Child and many more.

The Stage

Her fascinating autobiography ‘The Faith of A Child’ charts her life through wealth, poverty, near death in the Biafran War, to stardom. She was awarded an OBE for her charity work in the UK and Africa where she built five Clinics and also a school with Prince Harry’s charity.

Patti was the African face of Lux for 29 years and has starred in three major films: “Bisi” said to be Africa’s biggest grossing film, “Hussy” with Helen Mirren and “Music Machine” Britain’s answer to “Saturday Night Fever”. She’s a “Visiting Teaching Fellow” at Middlesex University with an Honorary Doctorate Degree for Arts and Education. Recent TVs include BBCTV “Celebrity Master Chef”, 'The Real Marigold Hotel' and ITV’s “Good Morning Britain”.
