The Pheasantry is delighted to welcome back, following their sell out shows last year, the veteran blues performer, broadcaster actor and erstwhile pop star Paul Jones together with the legendary guitarist John Etheridge for a night of Blues inflected Jazz.

Paul Jones was lead singer with the highly acclaimed and popular band Manfred Mann in the sixties, scoring several huge hits including '5432!', 'Pretty Flamingo', 'Doo Wah Diddy'. Subsequently, his solo career also produced a number of big hits - becoming a household name in the sixties. In the 1970’s he formed The Blues Band, featuring the music that was his first love and this group has toured consistently since.  Paul was also the presenter of the Radio 2 Blues Show for 30 years. He was awarded ‘Harmonica Player of the Year’ in the British Blues Awards of 2010, 2011 and 2012, as well as Blues Broadcaster of the year and a Lifetime Achievement award in 2011. 

Throughout John’s illustrious 50-year career, he has played in widely eclectic contexts, working with everyone from Yehudi Menuhin to Hawkwind, Stephane Grappelli to Soft Machine, Nigel Kennedy to Andy Summers.  All the time bringing his own personality to every situation.

The quartet will be completed by Pete Whittaker (organ) and Nic France (drums).
