Peter Donegan is the son of Lonnie Donegan, the King of Skiffle.  This year (2019) Peter auditioned for The Voice UK  and made headline news when Sir Tom Jones turned his chair for him. Sir Tom then when finding out and taken back by who he was, performed an impromptu duet of a song with Peter. It was 'I'll Never Fall in Love Again', the song written by his father and recorded and made a hit by Tom Jones in 1967. It was a very special moment viewed by millions.

Peter Donegan is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, he plays Piano, Guitar, Mandolin, Harmonica, Banjo, as well as lead vocals.  He has toured with his late father Lonnie Donegan, and with Van Morrison and Crystal Gale. He recently starred in a charity concert at London’s Cadogan Hall, celebrating the 65th Anniversary of the recording of ‘Rock Island Line’, alongside Van Morrison, Paul Jones, Leo Sayer, Chris Farlow, Joe Brown, and Steve Peabody (surviving member of Chase & Dave). Peter has been compared with the great American country rock singer Eric Church.

Peter Donegan and his great band are appearing for the first time at the Pheasantry, and will perform some of Lonnie Donegan's classics and lesser known recordings, combined with original numbers from his own album, which he wrote and recorded in Nashville, plus his most recent album release which was recorded in the same Decca recording studio that produced Lonnie Donegan’s ‘Rock Island Line’ 65 years ago. “Peter Donegan has now become a ‘STAR’ in his right”. This will be a very special evening.
