Phronesis ‘Walking Dark’

In 2010 Phronesis signed to Edition Records and released live album ‘Alive’ of previously recorded material, which was voted as ‘Jazz Album of the Year’ in both Jazzwise & Mojo magazines. In 2011 Phronesis also began performing ‘Pitch Black’ concerts in total darkness, in tribute to Jasper’s sister who had recently lost her sight, and in 2012 the trio released their fourth album, ‘Walking Dark’ (Edition). Described in a 5* review in BBC Music Magazine as “arguably the best disc yet from one of the best of the bunch of contemporary bands", it is the first album in which all members of the band contribute to the writing as well as the arranging.
To celebrate the 10th Anniversary of their label Edition Records, Phronesis perform ‘Déjà vu’ – a series of five concerts covering their entire back catalogue of trio material.
