Isabel Saunders

As well as her classical background in music, having originally trained as a cellist, Isabel’s influences range from jazz greats like Ella Fitzgerald and Carmen McRae, to the blues and soul of B.B.King and Otis Redding.

Isabel began her jazz singing journey in 2008 at the Richmond Adult Community College in London, with Linley Weir and Mike Finnegan. She then pursued her jazz studies with Guildhall tutors Lee Gibson, Tina May and Peter Churchill, attending ‘Mehr Clef’ jazz courses.  

Isabel has performed at some of the leading jazz  venues a include The Pheasantry, Ronnie Scott’s, Bull’s Head, Spice of Life, Jazz Café Posk etc. She has also sung at the Twickenham Jazz Festival and was a regular feature at an arts festival near Oxford, called ‘Art in Action’ for six years. 


Marimba Arihi

Marimba is a jazz singer from South West London of Nigerian and English heritage singing mostly early jazz covers /standards with a few modern tracks thrown in. She has been a vocalist for Motown, Northern Soul & Disco bands and has accompanied a variety of instrumentalists on the London jazz scene in recent years, currently working on some original material. She is warm and sassy with a unique sound, a wonderful singer who will keep you enthralled and captivated.


Gary Bartlett

Gary Bartlett is no stranger to the Pheasantry, as the lead vocalist for the SoulTrippers he has performed here as well as the Music Rooms in PizzaExpress Maidstone. Singing Motown with this 10piece band he takes a departure to a more intimate setting at the Platform4 showcase with the John Crawford Trio.

Gary’s voice is the perfect match for jazz, influenced by Sinatra, Kurt Elling and Curtis Stigers, he’ll swing his favourite American Songbook Standards and sooth you with ballads as well as singing some more contemporary tunes . His distinctive voice has no trouble moving between styles and genres always keeping his audience inspired and entertained.
