Three years on from her iconic ReVoice! Festival and following the success of new release, Songbook, award-winning vocalist/lyricist, Georgia Mancio, once again flexes her multi-lateral creativity with a new series of tantalising collaborations.

Tonight celebrates the strength and connection of the trio in a double bill of contrasting projects. The chamber beauty of quadro with pianist Frank Harrison and bassist Andrew Cleyndert meets the joyous modern jazz Trio with guitarist Nigel Price and bassist Julie Walkington. Story-telling and improvisation as equal partners; deep groove and musicality. Rain, shine, light, shade. All are to be found here.

“Individually, the members of Quadro are absolute masters of their art…the sum of the respective parts lifts [them] to an even higher level of creativity; the interplay within the band was a constant delight…that held the audience truly spellbound“ The Jazz Mann

“an object lesson in subtlety, in understated interpretation….It’s beautiful” All About Jazz

quadro (meaning ‘picture’ in Italian) is the new chamber group by award-winning vocalist Georgia Mancio (Alan Broadbent, Ian Shaw, ReVoice! Festival), pianist Frank Harrison (Gilad Atzmon, Peter King, Julian, Louis Stewart) and bassist/producer Andrew Cleyndert (Ronnie Scott, Gene Harris, Stan Tracey). They present a beguiling blend of jazz, latin and reinvented classical repertoire by composers including Strayhorn/Ellington, Jobim, Villa-Lobos and Waldemar Henrique. Performances include Reading, Birmingham and Cambridge Jazz Clubs, Colchester Arts Centre, The Pheasantry and a sell out show at 2016 Cheltenham Jazz Festival.

For Trio, Georgia joins forces with Parliamentary award-winning guitarist and bandleader Nigel Price (Van Morrison, Filthy Six, JTQ) and bassist Julie Walkington (Tina May, Geoff Eales, Barb Jungr). Their joyous interplay, as heard on their 2013 album, Come Rain or Come Shine, garnered a rare 5 star review from All About Jazz. Past engagements include: Ronnie Scott’s, Chichester and Swansea Jazz Clubs and festivals such as Love Supreme, Marlborough, Newport and Music in the Garden.
