Two legends come together for the first time in London in an amazing collaboration in which country meets jazz here at PizzaExpress Live Holborn. Superstar Rhapsody in Rock pianist Robert Wells together with his trio and country giant on Harmonica, Charlie McCoy will give just two performances which combine their talents, providing spellbinding musicianship and unrivalled entertainment!  Bluegrass, Boogie Woogie, Blues and Country will be the stuff of these two nights. Wells and McCoy have worked together before and recorded an album at Sun Studios Memphis Tennessee in 2017 together with fellow country great, Billy Dean and Wells’ wife Maria.

Charlie McCoy

Charlie is a Grammy-Winning country multi-talented session musician based in Nashville, where he went for a week back in 1959; he never looked back.  As being one of the most famous world-renowned Harmonica player Charlie  has recorded close to 40 studio albums of his own and has worked with stars like Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, Bob Dylan,  Perry Como, Joan Baez, Johnny Cash, Chet Atkins and Loretta Lynn to name but a few.  Thirteen of his singles have entered the Billboard country charts. Charlie was inducted into the International Musicians Hall of Fame in 2007 and is simply an amazing musician. 

Robert Wells

Widely regarded as being among the most gifted of pianists, an imaginative composer and among the greatest entertainers on the international scene.  Wells spellbinding performances will move seamlessly between country boogie woogie, jazz and will revisit Robert’s classical routes.  

Wells has sold over 2 million concert tickets to date, has a string of Gold and Platinum records to his name plus innumerable collaborations with many top artists including Albert Lee, Jon Lord, Michael Bolton and also Céline Dion.  Wells and McCoy recorded an album together in 2017 at Sun Studios Memphis Tennessee together with fellow country great, Billy Dean.
