Italian-born singer Rosanna moved to London in 2010 where she completed a Masters degree at Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She has subsequently been honing the music on this album with performances around London with her group at such venues as Ronnie Scott's and the St. James Theatre. She also has had the opportunity to play with such great musicians and groups as widely diverse as Wynton Marsalis, the London Philharmonia and to open for Elton John. All of these great experiences have filtered through to become this debut album, featuring Grant Windsor, Tim Thornton and Chris Draper. The music was all arranged by the band and is a mix of swinging, soulful jazz with fiery latin influenced music.

Born in the South of Italy, Rosanna started her singing studies in Bari with Mariella Carbonara and attending the school “Il Pentagramma”.

She then completed a Diploma in Jazz singing in 2005 at Accademia Internazionale della Musica in Milan, studying with renowned jazz singer Tiziana Ghiglioni.

In 2007 she opened Elton John’s concert in Trani with Danilo Rea quartet.

She performed at the “Cork Jazz Festival” , she took part of the “London A Cappella Festival” in King’s Place singing with Eclectic Voices and the Swingle Singers, and she performed with the Barbican Mass Choir for the European Premiere of Wynton Marsalis’ “Abyssinian Mass” at the Barbican Centre, having the opportunity to share the stage with Wynton Marsalis and the JLCO.

She also had the opportunity to study with amazing singers such as Anita Wardell, Lynda Richardson, and Sally Burgess and she has been a member of the London Vocal Project and Rhythms of the City.

Her musical taste doesn’t stop at jazz, in fact she joined the Philarmonia Chorus as external professional singer for the recording “Mahler Symphony No2” directed by Benjamin Zander, and she performed the same piece at the Royal Festival Hall under the direction of Esa-Pekka-Salonen, broadcasted on BBC Radio3.
