PizzaExpress Live (Holborn)

Fresh from playing the UK festival circuit this year, Rue is all set to bring her angelic yet soulful vocals and her intricate jazz guitar playing to PizzaExpress Holborn. Armed with a mesmerising batch of her very own songs comprising of guitar-driven R'n'B type jazz, prepare to be completely drawn into Rue's smooth, funky style and melisma-filled 'butter-wouldn't-melt' type singing. Sometimes Rue plays with a full band, and luckily for us, this is one of those times. Expect to hear songs from her highly anticipated debut EP 'Blinkers' which has had overwhelming support from BBC Introducing in multiple counties across the UK.

Support from Ben Cipolla at 8pm

Rue may have supported major acts like James Arthur, Martha Reeves & The Vandellas and Newton Faulkner, but her stand-out performances never fail to leave people remembering her as so much more than just a support act. At her performances, Rue uses her jazz inspired intricate guitar playing to assist her in presenting her own music influenced by neo-soul, R'n'B and pop. With a presence so capturing, it's no wonder Rue has been busy touring major festivals this year including Cheltenham Jazz Festival for BBC Radio 2. There will be new music to come soon, but until then, Rue continues to wow people at live performances around the UK.
