SADIE
is a 22 year old singer born in North East London who combines Jazz influenced R&B with contemporary urban music production. Born to English and Caribbean parents, she grew up listening to soul, R&B and jazz and developed a vocal style inspired by Aretha Franklyn, Ella Fitzgerald and Billy Holiday.

Whilst studying at Leicester University she featured on “Coast To Coast” with Dutch producer Saux which rested at No.6 in the Hype Machine chart. After graduating she released own singles Blinding Love” and “What You See” which was premiered on The 405.

Sadie has been performing extensively in London this year while working on her new EP with some of the most exciting contemporary producers, and collaborated with Crib Presents on the video for her next single “Let Go” which will be release this Autumn.

Sadie wants to capture a true female perspective on current issues with her music using sociopolitical debates on identity or personal relationship experiences. She felt her degree in Human Geography allowed her to explore her own personal identity and understand the meaning of societies view of her as a ‘black’ woman with mixed race identities.

Sadie's musicality sets her apart from current mainstream electronic Neo R&B/ Soul music.” [High Clouds]
