“A tailor-made festival band with a unique identity”

The Guardian

For his latest album Tales from the Punjab, Shez digs deep into his rich South Asian heritage to create his most exquisite and heartfelt album to date, recorded whilst on an adventure to the Punjab to immerse himself in the musical culture of his roots.

Shez will be recreating the colours and sounds from the new album as well as performing favourites from his considerable back catalogue. He leads a stunning line-up tonight that features internationally renowned saxophone star Tony Kofi (Courtney Pine, Ornette Coleman), award-winning Indian classical singer Japjit Kaur, plus the incredible Sophie Alloway on drums, Pascal Roggen on electric violin and Chris Jerome on keyboards.

Expect exciting and passionate music that blends East with West – a sonic kaleidoscope of euphoric jazz, thundering funk, ancient ragas and intoxicating grooves.
