So Live Sessions brings to PizzaExpress Live audiences the most entertaining and coveted rising stars of the UK's pioneering and multicultural 'new jazz' era. So Live Sessions has a reputation for supporting many multi talented developing musicians who have gone on to great success in the live and recorded music industry. This double headliner event will showcase two local stars - lyrical wizard Simon Jnr and pop and RnB diva Sheddy Maria, who has supported Fatman Scoop and Not3s among others. Sheddy talks about living a high life of good vibes and love, while spreading a positive message through her music. Be ready to be entertained by two of Birminghams most respected and covered musicians from it’s new Jazz Era .

Simon Jnr

Simon Jnr, known for his energetic presence on stage, quick double-time flows, and witty lyrics, he’s certainly one of the most exciting in the city of Birmingham. 

Simon Jnr being one of Birminghams current super talents is part of a collective containing some more of the most talented up coming names in Birmingham’s new Jazz era name such as Tom Ford, Reuben James. Simon has played many of the countries covered music venues such as The Jazz Cafe and Ronnie Scotts.

You are undoubtedly in for a treat if you ever get the chance to see this gifted lyrical genius and singer songwriter live on stage.

Sheddy Maria

Sheddy Maria is a UK Pop/R&B artist with vibrant energy. Her style has been compared to the likes of Anne-Marie and Dua Lipa with heavy inGluences from Afrobeats, Reggae & Pop. Sheddy is known for high energy on stage and catchy lyrics. Not only is Sheddy as singer but she co-pro-duces her tracks and has a strong input from start to Ginish of the songwriting process.

Performing regularly, she has been able to create a buzz behind her name with regular radio play, including being named as artist of the week with BBC Introducing both West Midlands and Hereford & Worcester. Sheddy was also nominated for Best Song at Birmingham Music Awards 2020.

Taking part in many Social Media Live Competitions, Sheddy has performed for the likes of Fat Man Scoop & Not3s - both of which loved her original material. Sheddy’s most recent success was being shortlisted to the Top 100 Unsigned Artists in the UK
out of 10,500 applicants to Radio 1s Live Lounge. This incredible achievement has set the way for a huge year for Sheddy leading to multiple Headline Shows debuting her Girst EP ‘Happily Never After’.
