Madi Saskia
After her most recent collaboration with Pheleba- Until, Birmingham songstress Madi Saskia is back with her newest single, “Open Your Eyes”. The track sees her team up with fellow Daniel Sturridge Dudley Road Records Brummie artist, Screama, for an infectious, feel-good banger, ready for the summer.
'Open Your Eyes' tells the story of unreciprocated energy within a relationship, and is a cry for affection. It pairs Madi’s soulful, yet catchy melodies with Screama’s hard-hitting production. The song is heavily inspired by Madi’s personal experiences and the importance of understanding love languages. The duo had a great vibe producing this track together and are excited for people to hear it.
Landel
Born in Birmingham UK, 1997, LANDEL (Real name Oliver) released his first single at the end of 2018 after working as a music video director for 2 years. Growing up on conscious hip-hop, his lyrical content takes inspiration from US artist collectives like Dreamville & TDE, whilst artists like Bryson Tiller & PartyNextDoor influenced his melodic sound.
Odd Soul
Forged in Birmingham’s bubbling Selly Oak music scene, Odd Soul blend jazz, soul, post-rock and hip-hop to create a fresh, vibrant and intricate sound. Odd Soul take jazz and soul influences from the likes of Hiatus Kaiyote and Jordan Rakei, and fuse them with the stratospheric post-rock stylings of Explosions in the Sky and Mogwai, creating dramatic soundscapes punctuated with catchy melodies and the occasional musical firework.
The band are fronted by the dual vocals of Gabriella Liandu (voice) and Rohit Jepegnanam (voice, guitar), alongside the "impressive collective talents" (Ian Paget, Indie Midlands) of James Dickinson (keyboards, backing vocals), Olli Smith (drums), Seb Read (bass) and Simon Meikle (guitar).
