So Live sessions has arrived at PizzaExpress Live to bring our audiences the most entertaining and coveted rising stars of the UK’s pioneering and multicultural new Jazz era. So Live Sessions has a reputation for supporting many multi talented developing musicians who have gone on to great success in the live and recorded music industry. We are excited for our resident and groundbreaking show here with So Live Sessions of which this December will showcase keyboardist, composer, producer and songwriter Ashley Allen. Also performing on the night will be UK Soul and R&B songstress Indigo Marshall 

 

Ashley Allen

Ashley Allen is a keyboardist, composer, producer and songwriter who currently resides in Birmingham, UK. Having acquired his first record label artist deal with the renown Italian A.MA records, he is currently working on releasing his second album.

He is also billed by Jamie Cullum as one of the next rising stars to come out of the UK and was featured on Jamie Cullums ‘recommending program’ in October 2021.

Whether performing alongside Grammy award-winning artists such as Gregory Porter & Dionne Warwick or touring Europe and the UK with Julie Dexter, Lady Sanity Town Hall Gospel Choir, and Aynsley Lister, Ashley continues to push the boundaries of innovation in the UK music scene.

Indigo Marshall

When it comes to the next wave of UK Soul and R&B, Indigo is a diamond contribution. With lyrics that are unfiltered and honest the Birmingham singer and songwriter’s charismatic voice captivates anyone who taps into her journey.

Indigo’s sound has been loved by BBC 1Xtra, including being a highlight of DJ Target’s Notice Board. Every single to date has had support from BBC Introducing and with her latest feel-good single ‘That’s What Love Is’ she had international radio play.

Most recently, Indigo headlined the infamous Symphony Hall as well as supporting Dappy on his ‘Fortune Tour’ and Carroll Thompson on her ‘ Hopelessly In Love Tour’.

After the release of her single ‘Distraction’ she flooded Instagram Live, won a competition in support of the Black Lives Matter movement with SBTV and was named Mary-Carey (Mariah Carey and Mary J Blige) by the renowned Kenny Burns.

Indigo is currently working on her debut EP which features ‘Questions’ and ‘Enough’, her untold story.
