Daniel Thomas - Luther Vandross, Mariah Carey, James Brown, Cher and Jason Thompson of the JT Band - Womack and Womack, Ashford and Simpson, Boney M, Mica Paris, will be joined by some of the UK’s finest singers and musicians, to bring you a fun filled and family orientated afternoon. You’ll be taken on a musical journey that will inspire, indulge and certainly leave you wanting more… Come fill your appetite, we’ll fill your soul…Sunday 22nd December’s showcase includes Vula Malinga and Lou Labelle. Daniel Thomas and Jason Thompson (the JT Band) have a combined total of over 50 years of performing in the music industry. Daniel Thomas, (host), is an in-demand vocal coach and musician - both in the UK and Europe. His roots stem from a church background and he has gone onto work with esteemed artistes such as Luther Vandross, Elton John, James Brown, Cher, Beverley Knight, Mariah Carey, Girls Aloud, Peter Andre, Blue and Boy George and many other artistes. As an artiste in his own right, he was signed to Ministry of Sound and had a #3 hit in 1999, among many other club releases. Along with his extensive work as a gospel choir director, Daniel is a featured vocalist on many recordings. He has been playing keyboards and singing since he was 5 years – so many, many years of experience. He is multi-faceted, multi-dimensional and abundantly creative. This is The Daniel Thomas Experience! In the words of the late great James Brown, as he was describing Daniel:

Jason Thompson, the MD of the JT Band, has had a star-studded career that has taken him around the globe to over 25 countries – travelling to countries throughout Europe, America, the West Indies, Asia and Africa. His main musical influences stem from a church background and he has successfully straddled the worlds of Jazz, Blues, Pop, R&B, Classical and Gospel music in his pursuit of musical excellence. Jason’s talents include composing, arranging, choir directing, piano tutoring, vocal training, session singing, workshop leading and music production. He has taught the piano for over 25 years – with 100% pass rate (ABRSM).
Jason has had the pleasure of playing for artistes such as Womack and Womack, Ashford and Simpson, Boney M, Rose Royce, Caron Wheeler (Soul II Soul), Peobo Bryson, James Ingram, Ruby Turner, Mica Paris and Edwin Hawkins (Oh Happy Day).

The showcase on 22nd December includes the fabulous Vula Malinga and the amazing Lou Labelle.


Powerhouse vocalist Vula Malinga is probably best known for her work as lead vocalist with Basement Jaxx, including the hit single ‘Oh My Gosh’. Vula is also one third of vocal trio LaSharVu with whom she has opened the main stage at Love Supreme Festival, supported Average White Band at the Festival Hall and performed sold out shows at Festivals and venues all over the UK.

She has an impressive CV as one of the premier backing vocalists both in the UK and in the States, performing with Sam Smith, Clean Bandit, Lalah Hathaway, Sam Sparro and other major artists. Vula has wowed huge audiences at the Royal Albert Hall, featuring as a lead vocalist with The Heritage Orchestra, as a featured vocalist for the Quincy Jones Prom and alongside Gregory Porter at the Battle of the Bands Prom, 2014. Her work with the Heritage Orchestra has seen her perform at Hollywood Bowl in LA and tour the major stadiums of Australia. She also received rave reviews for her show stopping performance at Jazz Voice, the opening gala concert of the London Jazz Festival at a sold out Barbican Hall. "Better Days", the title song of Incognito's 2016 album In Search of Better Days, features Malinga as lead singer.


Lou Labelle is an artiste and session singer with 20 years of experience in performing and songwriting. With a gospel and soul background, she has performed as part of various choirs, groups and BV’s around the world. In the last 5 years, she has toured the world with the likes of Joss Stone, Jessie J, Olly Murs, Jess Glynne, Leona Lewis and Jocelyn Brown. She recently supported the Spice Girls on their UK Stadium tour and is currently completing world tours with both Jess Glynne and Joss Stone. As a songwriter, she has worked with producers worldwide and has done much collaboration with other artistes. She has sung on major advertising campaigns for Boots UK, Rimmel UK, as well as the American TV show ‘Empire’. She also co-wrote the soundtrack for Bafta winning best British film, ‘Fish tank’.
