Daniel Thomas - Luther Vandross, Mariah Carey, James Brown, Cher and Jason Thompson of the JT Band - Womack and Womack, Ashford and Simpson, Boney M, Mica Paris, will be joined by some of the UK’s finest singers and musicians, to bring you a fun filled and family orientated afternoon. You’ll be taken on a musical journey that will inspire, indulge and certainly leave you wanting more… Come fill your appetite, we’ll fill your soul…Sunday 28th July’s showcase includes the fabulous Sharlene Hector – Basement Jaxx, Tinie Tempah, Lalah Hathaway, John Legend and the amazing Nathaniel Morrison – he is now doing his 7th West End Musical (currently on the ‘Waitress’), the founder of the West End Gospel Choir and is one of the 100 talent judges on the TV show ‘All Together Now’. Daniel Thomas and Jason Thompson (the JT Band) have a combined total of over 50 years of performing in the music industry. Daniel Thomas, (host), is an in-demand vocal coach and musician - both in the UK and Europe. His roots stem from a church background and he has gone onto work with esteemed artistes such as Luther Vandross, Elton John, James Brown, Cher, Beverley Knight, Mariah Carey, Girls Aloud, Peter Andre, Blue and Boy George and many other artistes. As an artiste in his own right, he was signed to Ministry of Sound and had a #3 hit in 1999, among many other club releases. Along with his extensive work as a gospel choir director, Daniel is a featured vocalist on many recordings. He has been playing keyboards and singing since he was 5 years – so many, many years of experience. He is multi-faceted, multi-dimensional and abundantly creative. This is The Daniel Thomas Experience! In the words of the late great James Brown, as he was describing Daniel:

Jason Thompson, the MD of the JT Band, has had a star-studded career that has taken him around the globe to over 25 countries – travelling to countries throughout Europe, America, the West Indies, Asia and Africa. His main musical influences stem from a church background and he has successfully straddled the worlds of Jazz, Blues, Pop, R&B, Classical and Gospel music in his pursuit of musical excellence. Jason’s talents include composing, arranging, choir directing, piano tutoring, vocal training, session singing, workshop leading and music production. He has taught the piano for over 25 years – with 100% pass rate (ABRSM).
Jason has had the pleasure of playing for artistes such as Womack and Womack, Ashford and Simpson, Boney M, Rose Royce, Caron Wheeler (Soul II Soul), Peobo Bryson, James Ingram, Ruby Turner, Mica Paris and Edwin Hawkins (Oh Happy Day).

The showcase on 28th July includes the fabulous Sharlene Hector and the amazing Nathaniel Morrison.

Sharlene Hector is a UK singer/songwriter. For almost 18 years she has fronted the UK House group Basement Jaxx, touring with Blonde, Emeli Sandé and Sam Sparro. She was the face of Coca-Cola's 'I Wish' ad campaign back in 2004, where she played the lead role of a girl walking and singing down the street handing out bottles of Coca-Cola. She has been a backing vocalist for artistes such as the Hurts, Josh Groban, Michael Bublé and The Streets, as well as performing on TV shows such as X Factor and Sounds Like Friday night with the likes of One Republic and John Legend. Other artistes of note include collaborations with Rag And Bone Man, Primal Scream, Wretch 32, Natasha Bedingfield, Nicole Scherzinger, Alicia Keys, Mark Ronson, Paloma Faith, Kano, JP Cooper and Omar.

Nathaniel Morrison hails from the city of Birmingham and is currently performing in his 7th West End Musical Production “Waitress” the Musical. He is the proud Founder and Artistic Director of The West End Gospel Choir and was one of the prolific 100 TV Talent Judges on BBC One’s ‘All Together Now’. 

Nathaniel is no stranger to the music scene having performed at Ronnie Scott’s, The Pigalle Club, Hideaway, The Royal Albert Hall and numerable times at The Pheasantry and Pizza Express Live High Holborn. He is thrilled to be invited to perform alongside Daniel Thomas and Jason Thompson at Soul Sundays and looks forward to an eventful, soul stirring time.
