The perfect Sunday Lunch- time concert, to sit back, relax and just enjoy tales of the life & music of a musical giant. This is a heartfelt, career-wide celebration of the great lyrical genius of the saxophone Stan Getz. Spanning the 1940s to the 1990s, taking in the swinging 1950s, the bossa nova years of the early 1960s.

The concert features music from the many rich and daring Stan Getz collaborations with some of the great musicians of the era, including Kenny Barron, Chick Corea, Joao Gilberto with Antonio Carlos Jobim, Woody Herman & Jimmy Raney, among others

With introductions &  music from Chris Ingham -piano & woodwind star of the John Wilson Orchestra Mark Crooks – tenor saxophone, Arnie Somogyi – double bass and George Double – drums.
