Tonight, Tammy continues her journey in Jazz as she delves deep into the great American songbook uncovering personal favourites that inspire her unique and elemental interpretations. The artistry of giants Sarah Vaughan,  Billie Holiday and Julie London, focus Tammy’s programme which also includes her own stellar compositions that truly hold their own amongst an illustrious list of classics, along with a few new songs and some special surprise guests. With a musical background that encompasses a wide variety of styles, her wonderful sound and approach integrate her rich and diverse influences into a unique and captivating whole. Accompanying her this evening will be her standout band: Tom Cawley on piano Julie Walkington on bass and Dave Ohm on drums.

A fine Canadian-born singer Tammy Weis has been working in London for more than a decade, during which time both her performances and her writing have moved her to the forefront of the UK jazz scene. Her latest CD “Where I Need To Be”, features her excellent original material written with Grammy Award-winning producer Terry Britten and pianist Tom Cawley, with one of her co-writes from that album “Everyone But Me”, being included on an album produced by Michael Bublé. Jamie Cullum, Bobby McFerrin, and Randy Bachman are just a few of the high-profile artists with whom she has performed and another of her songs were recorded by an “American Idol” finalist for his CD.
