Nora Jorba
Nora Jorba is a Catalan-born singer based in London. She returns to PizzaExpress Live after her week-residency at PizzaExpress Jazz Club, presenting the Christmas Songbook in December 2016, and the well received Tom Waits Songbook Show in 2017. In 2016, Nora graduated from the BMus Jazz Course at Middlesex University under the supervision of Nikki Iles, Chris Batchelor and Irene Serra amongst others. She also received the annual Jazz Award. Since then, Nora has been performing in jazz and latin ensembles. Besides being an active musician, Nora works in the jazz industry behind the scenes. She organises the London Catalan Jazz Festival every June and books and promotes gigs of other artists in London venues. She has also founded The Musician’s Virtual Assistant where she offers services to artists to promote their music and support their careers.
Joseph Paice
Joseph Paice is a singer, songwriter and pianist. His album 'Wonderstruck' was produced by Portishead bass player Jim Barr and featured the horn section from award winning Bristol group, Get the Blessing. He returns to PizzaExpress after his very successful show in 2017: The Tom Waits Songbook, where he shared stage with Nora Jorba as well as Kasia Kawalek and Rachel Cunniffe. Joseph has performed at many top jazz clubs in the UK, and has also worked behind the scenes on music projects for organisations like the British Council, Jazz Services, Arts Council England, Creative Scotland, London Jazz Festival, Xerox Rochester International The Beatles Songbook - EPK Jazz Festival (USA), Europe Jazz Network, UK Trade & Investment, Jazz at Lincoln Center (USA), and many more. He also 'moonlights' as Programming Manager of PizzaExpress Live.
Aubin Vanns
London-based jazz guitarist Aubin Vanns has gained a reputation for his mature and original improvisational style as well as his melodic compositional style. He leads his own quartet, with pianist Alberto Palau, bassist Will Harris and drummer Jay Davis, playing original music. He also currently plays original music in the groups They Will Flock and Lanterns. In 2019, Aubin released his debut album as leader with Opera. In 2018, Aubin featured on recordings by Matt Anderson (Rambling), Jana Vargova and Tom Neale.
