Formed in 2011 by guitarist/composer Jon Speedy in collaboration with saxophonist/horn arranger Ian Bailey, The Boom Yeh have been deep in the groove since day one. Featuring a rotation of London's finest musicians, their music is an intoxicating brew of funk interspersed with elements of jazz-rock, afro-beat, latin, disco and more. The debut album 'Reverberations To Constellations' released in 2013 followed by Vinyl E.P 'Darkstar' in 2015 and the 'Live At Hideaway London' album in 2016 all received critical acclaim and positive reviews. 'Turn It Up' - the lead tune from 'Darkstar' became a dancefloor favourite, receiving heavy rotation from respected international DJ's. Previous live dates include the Elgar Room (Royal Albert Hall), CLF Cafe/Bussey Building (Peckham), Mondomix Festival, Matt & Phreds (Manchester), Jazz Re:freshed and more. The band is currently working on a new studio album for release in 2019.
