PizzaExpress Jazz Club (Soho)

For far too long the U.K. has enjoyed a showcase of brilliant female jazz singers, but until now very few top drawer young male singers. That era is over now! We present this Saturday lunchtime exclusive Christmas show, fronted by sought-after jazz vocalist James Hudson, featuring songs by Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Harry Connick Jr & Bing Crosby. Since featuring as the male vocalist with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra, James has performed to sold-out crowds at Ronnie Scotts’ Jazz Club, Hôtel de Paris (Monte Carlo) and other top venues across UK & Europe.

Joining James will be in-demand guitarist and musical director Nick Fitch (Claire Martin, Tina May, 42nd Street, Lee Mead, Sophie Ellis-Bextor) and his swinging quartet of the UK's top young jazz musicians, fresh from their acclaimed Nicole Henry UK tour, performing the music of Aretha Franklin

Expect timeless jazz standards from the Great American Songbook and festive reworkings including “The Christmas Song”, “Sleigh Ride”, “Winter Wonderland” and a few surprises, guaranteed to put you in the Christmas holiday mood.
