Freddy Benedict
Hailing from a London-based theatrical family in the United Kingdom, Freddie's voice has brought him many opportunities in animation and as an impressionist, but singing remains the cornerstone of his world. He has sold out the Spice Of Life, The Savoy, The Ritz, Ronnie Scott’s as well as Crazy Coqs, Toulouse Lautrec and Pizza Express in Soho. Before dipping his toes into the jazz scene, he studied classical singing and trumpet at the Katarina Gurska Conservatoire in Madrid, which helped him create the warm, soaring baritone sound that you hear today. He was awarded a first class honours for his master’s degree in jazz singing at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. In addition to this, he has added his baritone and beatboxing talents to the A Cappella group, All the King’s Men, who were nominated for 4 CARAs. In 2017 he joined NoVI, whose success as European ICCA champions took them to Carnegie Hall that same year. As the lead male vocalist with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra for 10 years, he performed nationally and internationally and he was delighted to perform for HRH Prince Edward on several occasions. He is currently in the process of having his original tunes mixed, which he hopes to release at the beginning of next year.
